Ok!  So after reading a good article on Cracked -> [link] I've felt really inspired and I want to really get myself moving on art again.  So I've given myself a year long project.  By the end of 2013, I'll have 52 new images.  I've always wanted to be able to draw Disney characters better (specifically their eyes) so I've decided to start focusing on one character a week.  I'm starting toward early Disney characters (ie Mickey) and I'm going to move out toward more recent ones (ie Rapunzel).  They're not all in chronological order, more like in similar stylized order, I'll post a list soon (I have a list, just not typed up) so if you're interested in a specific character you can...look forward to that week (i dunno)? Of course I'll be able to do other art if I want to, but every Sunday night at 8-ish (EST) I'm going to try and post a picture.  Until I see how well this is going to work out I don't want to pressure myself to have a final refined picture, but I have to have at least one sketch to post.  I would normally push myself harder than one picture a week, but my freelance work with Graphic Cow is so variable I don't want to make this goal unachievable.

Does anyone want to join me in a "Picture a week for the whole year" project?

Week One:  Mickey Mouse
Week Two:  Goofy
Week Three:  Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
Week Four: Winnie The Pooh (Current) & Winnie The Pooh (Classic)
Week Five: Cinderella
Week Six: Snow White
Week Seven: King Arthur (aka "Wart")
Week Eight: Merlin
Week Nine: Eilonwy
Week Ten: Gurgi
Week Eleven: Robin Hood
Week Twelve: Tinkerbell
Week Thirteen: Ariel
Week Fourteen: Flounder
Week Fifteen: Belle
Week Sixteen: Alice
Week Seventeen: Dormous
Week Eighteen: Aladdin
Week Nineteen: Jasmine
Week Twenty: Pocahontas

No problem, hardly anyone takes pics of ratties ^_^ They're such awesome pets. I wish more people would realize how great they are, but you know they hear the word "rat" and they immediately thing "dirty" I wish we could rename them something that would suit their species better...like I dunno "snuggle lumps" lol

I really love my rats, but sadly I'm going to stop keeping rats as soon as my last few passes away :(

Any particular reason why you won't continue to keep rats? I had to stop keeping them because I was getting rashes and break outs when I held them.

Thanks so much for the fave on my belts and straps tutorial! I hope it's useful, and if you use either of them, I'd love to see what you make. ^_^

Np, I'm always looking for good tuts on sewing. I'm rather rotten at it lol! This would have been super for when I was making a bag last September, but at least I've got good info for the next time :glomp:

Well practice makes perfect! I've been doing it for 12 years and I still always feel like I could improve my technique anymore (it's sort of addictive, ha ha). I hope the next thing you make turns out great!
